Close your eyes and listen carefully. The trip we’re about to embark on together isn’t the kind where you put your bags down. Rather, it’s one where the journey is more important than the destination. The winds come from Africa, the Orient and Spain, forming a storm over Marseille. The air is hot and the storm is electric.

The group, still in its infancy, is rich in the varied experience of its three members: Anass Zine and Arthur Peneau, singer-instrumentalists on guembri, oud and electric kora, joined on this trip by Did Miosine on machines. HAWA, the group’s first album, was released last April.
