About
FOREST SOUNDS 2023: ACTIONS & PHILOSOPHY
You may have discovered the festival during its first editions in the Parc de Forest. However, due to construction work, we’ve moved to another of the town’s well-known landmarks, Forest Abbey.
In this place steeped in history, we’re writing our own, but not without you!
Respect for our heritage
In this remarkable place, we are putting in place a number of initiatives, including
- working with local suppliers
- waste sorting
- using reusable cups
- installing ecological toilets
- no-waste decoration evolving over time
Alternative programming
When it comes to programming, we’ve made it our mission to introduce you to artists selected for their originality and their ability to move our hearts and our eardrums. We’re opening the doors of the abbey to a wide range of musical styles, from global sound to contemporary traditional and electro. In short, we invite artists of all genres, as long as they’re off the beaten track!
Entertainment and performances
You won’t be bored thanks to the entertainment and performances organised throughout the festival. The atmosphere promises to be family-friendly in the afternoons, and the heat will rise as the day draws to a close and the evenings get more festive.
Visibility for associations
Every year, we invite local associations working on sensitive issues to join us. We choose them because they encourage encounters and exchanges and work for human rights.
An initiative of Palais des Sciences
Open to all, environmentally friendly, festive, family-friendly, located in the heart of a beautiful Brussels site, Forest Sounds is the perfect way to end the summer! An initiative of Palais des Sciences (Antitapas Nights), BRASS (Cultural Center of Forest), and the Municipality of Forest.
